Artist Rebecca Sargent- Finding Your Passion and Exploring Forgotten Spaces

Updated: Oct 13, 2018

Welcome to the first episode of I Like Your Work! In this episode, we meet, Rebecca Sargent, an artist living in Dayton, Ohio. Rebecca is a painter and also the program director at a non-profit art center where she works with students to give them a creative and productive outlet.

We discuss how we both fell in love with painting in our early twenties in Italy, road tripping through the rustbelt to find and explore forgotten spaces, and how her dreams and anxieties inform her work.

Rebecca also talks about her work as the program director at an art non-profit and the impact the arts has had on local students.  Bottom line, she is an incredible human being who isn’t just a great artist but also a positive force in her community. You can see her work on her website www.rebeccasargent.com and on instagram at becsargent. Her work is currently being exhibited at MUSA Collective in Boston, MA. The show is up until Sept 22.

Fresh and fun. Especially enjoyed the rapid series of questions at the end of this episode!
